A Statement From Forge Media + Design
May 14, 2026
It has come to our attention that a ‘Forge Media’ has been named in association with a CBC and APTN-produced comedy series that aimed to prank public figures who hold controversial beliefs relating to unmarked graves at the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.
As part of this production, Forge Media was named as the company producing this series. Forge Media + Design is a multidisciplinary design firm based in Toronto, and had nothing to do with this production.
With that said, Forge Media + Design believes in the findings of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, that the residential school system amounted to cultural genocide. Furthermore, we believe in the ongoing process of reconciliation and in healing the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada through meaningful actions to address the legacy of colonialism in Canada.
