Olympic Sailing Legacy
Forge was selected as the designers to develop a commemorative coffee table book, chronicling the Canadian Olympic Sailing Legacy from its beginnings in 1924 in Paris, to the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
Paul Henderson former IOC member and Hugh Drake approached Forge to help organize over 80 years worth of Olympic racing content, ranging from vintage newspaper articles to modern day photographs, including lots of hand written notes and anecdotes. Forge was tasked with distilling all of the content into meaningful chapters.
The resulting book is a chronicle that commemorates Canada’s rich sailing history that includes overviews of all of the Olympic and Paralympic games, personal stories from medal winners and details of all Canadian boats raced in Olympic regattas. Upon its completion, the book was sold to sailing enthusiasts across the country with proceeds supporting Junior Olympic Sailing in Canada.
